About Me

I migrated from Honduras at the age of 12, and I came to live in The Bronx with my parents and my younger sister.  Fast forward to age nineteen, I met my husband and two years later we had our first child.  A decision to find a better place to raise our daughter led us to Florida, where we bought our home and expanded our family with the arrival of our son.

I am a teacher at my core, a lifelong passion that breaks the boundaries of a classroom. I find myself sharing knowledge and insights that have enriched my own journey during conversations with colleagues, loved ones, or even chance encounters.

My desire to uplift and empower others is what sparked the idea for my blog. Here within this vibrant community, I aim to mesh together the fruits of my research with the tapestry of my own life experience.  The goal is simple: to offer a guiding light amidst the complexities of modern living, making your day just a little brighter and easier to navigate.

I also want to be your reminder that the greatest thing standing in the way of your success is your own mindset, you are capable of moving past your self-doubt and those negative whispers in your ear telling you that you are not capable.  Forget those social media posts that paint a seemingly perfect picture. Lets be real – while those moments do exist, they do not truly describe the reality of everyday life. Life is perfectly imperfect; we are all in it together, navigating similar struggles.  So girl, let’s go on this journey together, lifting each other up and remembering to pay it forward and encourage others along the way.  We all have a story to tell, and your story matters.

Create a life narrative that you are meant to be living, not the one that has been dictated to you by society.
